What are 'content types'?

Form2Content is referred to as a Content Construction Kit, CCK in short. It is important to define the content that is being created. This will allow you to choose the required fields to collect the information for the article.

A content type is any type of article which can be 'grouped' whereby the articles have similar content and layout structure.

F2C Content type configuration

Creating and configuring a content type is the first step in using Form2Content for your article submission. After you edit or create a Content Type there are many settings ... explained in this article.

We recommend that whenever a new Content Type is created it is immediately saved after it has been given a name. This way your default templates and settings are saved correctly.

Import & export of F2C Content types

From F2C Pro versions 2.12 & 4.3 onwards it is possible to export and import content types. To further enhance the user friendlyness of F2C we have created a 'sharing directory' where we publish free ready-made downloadable content types like Article, Portfolio, Recepy etc.
