F2C Language files & updates
All Form2Content components, modules and plugins use the Joomla native language mechanism. Please read about upgradeing, custom changes and differences between Joomla 1.5 and 1.7.
What happens during an upgrade of F2C?
During a Form2Content upgrade the language files are overwritten (replaced). Any custom translations will be lost unless you use an override (Joomla 1.7) of have added the language strings to your template language files (Joomla 1.5 override trick).
Where can I find new language strings after an upgrade?
To keep things as simple as possible we add new F2C language strings at the BOTTOM of the LANGUAGE FILES separated with VERSION HISTORY. This way you can copy/paste your (backup) changes of the language files if you made any.
Where can I find the F2C language files?
All language files are saved conform Joomla best practise and can be found in:
administrator/language/en-GB (which files depend on the F2C extensions)
en-GB.com_form2content.ini
en-GB.com_form2content.sys.ini
en-GB.com_form2contentsearch.ini
en-GB.com_form2contentsearch.sys.ini

Other language files for F2C
On the Form2Content website we provide language files as they are submitted to us by the community. Please feel free to download and install them in the appropriate folders.
If you want to create your own language file for F2C simply copy the .ini files and rename the xx-XX part conform Joomla language rules.
