F2C Search

Form2Content Search is a great F2C extension which allows you to perform ABSOLUTE (as apposed to keyword density) searches on JOOMLA ARTICLES.

These F2C/Joomla fields can be searched: At this time F2C Search for JOOMLA 1.7 can search within the following fields

ATTRIBUTE SEARCH (single select list, multi-select list)
KEYWORD SEARCH (within Joomla title, single line text and multi-line textfields)
JOOMLA CATEGORIES (displayed as dropdown)
JOOMLA AUTHORS (displayed as drop down)

NOTE: In Joomla 1.5 you can only do the attribute search at this time.

When using {$JOOMLA_ARTICLE_LINK_SEF} in your F2C intro template, please also make sure you download the F2C SEF plugin. This way Joomla will be happy with creating nice SEF url's on your Search results page. More documentation on this here.

Getting started with F2C Search

You can use F2C Search to do ABSOLUTE searches (instead of keyword) on Joomla articles created with F2C. The results are shown in category blog layout style and the read more goes directly to the NATIVE Joomla article (in com_content).

Using the Item ID in the F2C Search module

In order to add some creativity and flexibility to the Search Results page we have added the Item ID parameter in the F2C Search module configuration.
