Menu link to the F2C front-end article manager

One of the best feaures of Form2Content is the submission of articles in the front-end. This is done using the F2C front-end article manager or if you have the PRO version, a direct link to a submission form is also possible.

Creating the menu link to the front-end article manager

Like any other Joomla component is is possible to make a menu link to the component. This menu link will show the front-end features of the component.

Step 1

In the back-end, go to the the menu in which you want to create a link to the F2C article manager. Select new menu item and select Form2Content Lite. After expansion 'select List view' (see image).

Step 2

Add your menu link name and set the user level.

Important: If you are using F2C in the front-end it is suggested you set the user level to 'registered', unless you are using Re-Captcha to prevent SPAM. In other words, only registered users will be able to add articles.

The F2C article manager in the front-end can be adjusted using template overrides conform the Joomla MVC model. Please read this article about creating template overrides for Form2Content.

Extra front-end Article Manager settings for PRO

In Form2Content Pro there are extra parameters for the display of the front-end F2C article manager. It is possible to hide selected columns and buttons. See the image for all the settings.

A menu link to a submission form (F2C PRO only)

As you have probably experienced on the F2C demo website, it is possible to make a menu link directly to a submisison form. Making the link is just as easy as making the link to the F2C article manager.

Step 1

Again go to the menu in which you would like to create a link and select 'new'. When you have form2content PRO installed you will see an extra meu link type called 'Form layout' (see image). Select this.

Step 2

After selecting the Form layout menu link there are several extra parameters apart form the standard Joomla menu title and permission settings.
