Import & export of F2C articles (data)
Create and export XML files of your F2C article data with some advanced settings on XML structure and import possibilities.
Please note that this feature is for advanced users! It requires understanding of XML data (schemes). We will only provide support if you provide us with error log files (generated by F2C) and show an understanding of how the feature works.
After installing the component, goto the component options in the back-end, select the import/export tab and make sure you provide valid directory values for the import/export directories.
Exporting
Exporting forms can be done in the back-end article manager, this should be straight-forward. Select the articles and click on export.
Importing
Import can be done through the front-end, possibly a cron job. Just call:
< Your website root >/index.php?option=com_form2content&task=articleimportcron
Errors that occur during the import will be written to a log file in the Joomla log directory (very useful information!)
When importing XML files, they must comply with the XSD as provided in:
< Your website root >/media/com_form2content/schemas/f2c_forms_1_0_0.xsd
This XSD contains some brief documentation, please check it out. The easiest way to get started is just to export a form of your desired Content Type and have a look at the generated XML document.
